Marriott International, Inc. has announced it is acquiring the Delta Resorts brand and management and franchise business.

It’s a deal worth C$168 million for 38 operating hotels, and six under development, in 30 cities across Canada.
The transaction is subject to certain third party and government approvals, including the Canadian Competition Bureau.
Marriott International, Inc. is a U.S. company with more than 4,100 properties in 79 countries.
The deal should be complete by the spring of this year.
