In addition to legible plates, officers in the Bridge City are also taking part in a province-wide initiative. For the month of January, Saskatchewan law enforcement are involved in a traffic spotlight which focuses on intersection infractions.

Based on SGI’s three-year average between 2011-13, almost 40 per cent of crashes in the province happen at intersections. In 2013 alone, 47 people died in these collisions.
