CALGARY – Police have charged a man after an attempted carjacking at Sunridge Mall.
It happened around 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6th, 2015.
Police allege the suspect tried to steal several cars, threatening people as they got in or out of their vehicles.

Several Good Samaritans were later pepper-sprayed when they confronted the suspected.
He ran into the mall but was later confronted by security staff who followed him back out into the parking lot, where he again attempted to open several car doors.
Police have charged 40-year-old Carmen Lawrence Briault of no fixed address with two counts each of assault with a weapon, robbery and possession of stolen property, and one count of possession of a weapon or imitation for a dangerous purpose.
