TORONTO — Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds is a father, according to multiple reports.
The fiercely private star and his wife, actress Blake Lively, are said to have welcomed their first child at the end of December at their home in Bedford, New York.
The gender of the baby has not been reported and a rep for the couple had no comment, according to the New York Post.
Both the Post and People reported the baby was born early.
Lively, 27, announced her pregnancy in October via her website.
In Toronto last October, Reynolds joked that he wanted to name the baby Excalibur Anaconda Reynolds. “That’s if it’s a girl,” he added.

The 37-year-old Vancouver-born actor has been married to Lively since September 2012.
His first marriage, to actress Scarlett Johansson, ended in 2010 after about two years. Johansson welcomed baby Rose in September.
Reynolds grew up in B.C. with three older brothers.
In November, he told People he was up for the challenges of fatherhood.
“I’m good with diapers and diarrhea and all that kind of stuff because I have lots of nieces and nephews, so I’ve done it all before,” he said.
“I’m just excited about having a buddy,” he said.
