Carbon monoxide poisoning at Warman, Sask. home

WARMAN, Sask. – Seven people were taken to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon after suffering from the effects of carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning. MD Ambulance and the Warman Fire Department were called to a Warman, Sask. residence just before 9:30 a.m. Monday.

People at the residence were exhibiting symptoms like nausea, dizziness and even vomiting. Paramedics arrived and assessed six adults and three young girls.

Seven people were taken by ambulance to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon in stable condition. One of the three children hospitalized was 10-months-old.

MD Ambulance spokesperson Troy Davies says the family was having some issues with their furnace.

Davies said all patients are now doing well.
