For the first time since 2004, Edmonton Eskimos fans finally have a post-season home game to get excited about.
“It’s been a long time coming, we remember the good old days and now it’s time to start all over again,” said Brian Campbell. He and his wife, Karen, have been season-ticket holders since 1978.

Ever since the team secured a home playoff game with Friday’s 23-20 win over the Saskatchewan Roughriders, phones have been ringing off the hook at the Eskimos’ office, with fans like the Campbells rushing to get tickets.
“It was really busy in the morning – it’s really busy on the phones. Right now people are buying tickets, but they don’t really know what they’re buying,” said Duanne Vienneau, the Vice President of the team’s marketing department.
Fans won’t know when the home playoff game will be, and against which team, until the outcome of Saturday night’s football game. If BC wins its game tonight against Montreal, Edmonton will be hosting the western semi-final next weekend. And if Montreal wins the game, the Eskimos will take first place in the west division and will host the Western Final on November 20th.
