The province is looking for input on the idea of raising the annual co-payment ceiling for seniors to $500 from $250.

The executive director of the Coalition for Seniors and Nursing Home Residents’ Rights says the government is reaching into seniors’ pockets.
Cecile Cassista says the change could prompt some seniors to stop taking their medications.
The coalition will discuss the proposed changes to the drug program at its annual meeting in Moncton this weekend.
Health Minister Madeleine Dube says the change would affect less than half of the 48,000 seniors in the program.
