PRINCETON – The all clear has been given for some Princeton area residents to again use their well water.

But a conference centre remains affected by Interior Health’s Do Not Use order.

The order was issued Thursday after a spill of tailings slurry at the Copper Mountain mine entered Wolfe Creek.

Tests show the water is safe to use for a handful of people who draw water from the creek or nearby wells.

However, Interior Health is still waiting for sample results from the well that services the RockRidge Canyon Conference and Retreat Centre.

“Under this Do Not Use order, residents should not use water for drinking (even boiled), bathing or recreation,” advises Interior Health in a public service announcement.
