CALGARY- On Friday, Calgary police announced charges are pending against the driver of a van that ran over a man in the city’s southeast.
Police say at about 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, a cube van hit a pedestrian while leaving a parking lot at at 7373 11 Street S.E. They say the van was trying to merge on to westbound Heritage Drive when the collision occurred.
A 55 year old man was completely run over by the van before being rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition.
Any witnesses to the collision are asked to call the Calgary Police Service’s Traffic Section at 403-567-4000.
