THUNDERCHILD FIRST NATION, Sask. – A 911 call to RCMP has landed a Saskatchewan man in jail. Quinton Elliot Wapass, 42, is facing numerous weapon charges after a firearms complaint earlier this week.
Police were told a man was pointing a firearm and threatening to kill the caller. Mounties from three detachments responded and arrested Wapass at a residence on the First Nation.

Officers recovered the firearm. No one was injured.
Wapass is facing 11 charges including point a firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm for a dangerous purpose and uttering threats. He was also wanted on outstanding warrants .
He appeared in St. Walburg provincial court on Wednesday and will be held in custody until an appearance in Lloydminster provincial court Thursday morning.
