TORONTO – York Regional Police have arrested a second suspect in connection to the murder of a 28-year-old woman who died after being found badly injured in front of a home in Markham.
Rustom Iran, 31, of Markham was taken into police custody on Dec. 4 only a day after Heather Speed, 34, was arrested.
Both are facing a charge of first-degree murder.
The victim, identified as Aleelya Raza, was found around 6 a.m. on Nov. 28 lying in front of her Markham home on Norbury Drive.
Police say the woman had obvious signs of trauma and was taken to hospital where she later died.
