Missing Saskatchewan trucker found dead in Nebraska

A missing Saskatchewan trucker has been found dead in the United States. Claybourne Ursu was located by police in Nebraska in the bunk of his tractor-trailer earlier Monday morning.

Ursu, 56, was reported missing after he last spoke to his employer on Tuesday, Nov. 25. He had picked up a load of corn meal in Crete, Neb. to haul to Lethbridge, Alta.

RCMP were told it was out of character for Ursu, who is from the Avonlea area, to not be in contact with his family as he spoke to them daily.

He was found around 1 a.m. by police in Columbus, Neb. with all of his personal belongings. Foul play is not suspected in his death.
