TORONTO — Angelina Jolie escaped unharmed Sunday after the vehicle she was in slammed into a curb and blew out two tires, according to a report.
And overseas, soccer star David Beckham and his son were involved in a crash Saturday.
Celebrity photo agency X17 reported Jolie was being chauffeured in a black SUV from a screening of her film Unbroken in Beverly Hills when the accident occurred.
The vehicle reportedly slid on the rain-slicked road at around 6:45 p.m. local time and hit the curb with such force that two tires popped.
“It was pretty bad — the tire exploded and it’s amazing nothing worse happened to the car,” an unnamed eyewitness was quoted as saying.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if she has whiplash.”
X17 said Jolie, 39, was picked up by another driver and taken home.
There has been no confirmation of the incident from reps for Jolie.
On Saturday, an Audi RS6 driven by Beckham hit a woman’s Mitsubishi in Hertfordshire, England.
The soccer star had just picked up his 15-year-old son Brooklyn from a soccer practice.
Neither Beckham was injured. Two people in the other car were reportedly taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Both vehicles suffered significant damage.
