TORONTO — Roseanne Barr got a reminder early Wednesday that in comedy, timing is everything.
The 62-year-old comic actress tweeted a photo of herself with a swollen and bloody face accompanied by the message: “Got in a tussle w bill cosby. U shoyld see that mfer.”
Many of her 263,000 Twitter followers reacted with concern, prompting Barr to delete the tweet.
She then retweeted the photo, this time with the message: “Got a chemical peel to look more sexier. Joked about tussling cosby.”
Barr’s attempt at humour came almost a week after she talked about the sexual assault allegations against Bill Cosby in an interview with the New York Daily News.
“I don’t wanna get sued or have him send anyone to beat me up,” she said.
“It’s horrible when you peel back the curtain and see what’s behind it.”
