UNITY, Sask. – A pursuit of numerous stolen vehicles in west-central Saskatchewan Monday has Mounties attempting to charge the persons involved. At around 10:45 p.m., RCMP were initially contacted by a Denzil, Sask. area farmer who discovered three trucks in his yard.

When the farmer went to confront the vehicles, they all fled and one ran over his foot. Soon after, the vehicles were reported driving erratically in the community of Macklin, Sask. and then were sighted along Highway 14.

RCMP located the vehicles and attempted to stop them. The drivers briefly stopped before speeding away with their lights off on the highway. The vehicles then headed off in separate directions.

One of the trucks was abandoned on the First Nation. A Remington model 750 .270 calibre rifle was in the truck when it was stolen from a farm west of Unity, Sask.
