WINNIPEG – A group of robbers made off with 25 iPhones and a Samsung Galaxy from a Rogers store in the 2600 block of Portage Avenue on Monday afternoon.
The daytime robbery occurred after two men and a woman went into the cellphone store at about 4:15 p.m. and the woman told a clerk she wanted to buy an iPhone 6, police said in a news release Tuesday.
The staff person went to the back of the store to get a phone and when she returned, the three people, one of them armed, confronted her and demanded more phones.
The three fled with 25 gold, silver and grey iPhones and a Samsung Galaxy Note 4, police said.
All three were described as thin and in their early 20s. The men were about five-foot-seven.
Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to call police at 204-986-6219 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477.
