REVELSTOKE, B.C. — One driver is dead following a two vehicle crash near Revelstoke involving two semi trucks.
The crash happened shortly before 9 p.m. on the Trans-Canada, about 20 km west of Revelstoke, where a tractor-trailer super B semi jack-knifed — crossing into oncoming traffic.
An eastbound semi hit the trailer, killing the driver. The driver of the super B semi wasn’t injured.
The incident closed the highway for several hours. According to DriveBC, the highway reopened around 11:30 a.m.
The highway is littered with cut lumber. There are also fuel spills.
RCMP say the cause of the crash is under investigation but are reminding motorists to slow down and drive according to changing winter conditions.
