A warrant for his arrest was issued earlier this month, after several poppy boxes were stolen from various businesses.

Police charged Soroka with eight counts of theft under $5,000.

They say there were 18 poppy boxes thefts reported in Calgary since the beginning of November, and one other person is also facing charges.
