VANCOUVER – The cold temperatures have prompted North Shore Rescue to issue a warning to anyone looking to go out and enjoy the mountains during this stretch of sunshine.

Crews had to help an injured hiker off a trail to Dog Mountain on Tuesday.
During the rescue they noticed hundreds of hikers underdressed for the cold weather.
They’re reminding people it is winter conditions on B.C.’s mountains so they need to carry extra clothing and the proper gear when hitting the trails.
