Students injured after school bus cut off in Saskatoon

SASKATOON – Five students were taken to a Saskatoon hospital Friday morning after they were injured when the school bus they were on came to a sudden stop.

The incident happened just before 9 a.m. when the northbound bus on Lorne Avenue at Circle Drive was cut off by an unidentified vehicle.

The driver avoided a collision with the vehicle after slamming on the brakes.

Several students suffered minor injuries and five were taken to hospital as a precaution.

The bus company or school division will be notifying parents of the incident.

Police are looking for the unidentified vehicle and ask anyone with information to contact them at 306-975-8300.
