A portion of Dundas Street was closed in downtown Toronto on Monday morning after a tree and power lines came down.

Toronto police said they were alerted to the problem just before 7 a.m. and closed a section of the street between Sherbourne and Seaton streets.

Officers said a large tree had fallen across the road, bringing down power lines.
Toronto Hydro was notified and is responding to the incident.
