HALIFAX – Halifax Regional Police have confirmed another person has found a pin in a Halloween treat — the third case in the area, and fourth in the province, in a week.
A man from Halifax reported to police on Thursday that he discovered a pin when he bit into a candy bar that was collected trick-or-treating in Portland Estates.
Police are investigating the report.
Meanwhile, the RCMP is investigating two similar incidents that occurred earlier in the week.
On Monday, a woman from Eastern Passage said her daughter found a pin in a chocolate bar she received while trick-or-treating around Astral Drive in Cole Harbour.
Police were also called to Astral Drive Junior High on Monday after a student found a pin inside of a small candy bar when she took a bite.
No injuries from the incidents have been reported.
On Tuesday, the Cape Breton Regional Police said it was investigating a report of a needle found in a chocolate bar from a trick-or-treater in North Sydney.
