Power has been restored to Moncton residents after a major outage on Tuesday left tens of thousands of people without electricity.
As of 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, the NB Power website listed just a handful of customers without power in the Moncton area.
Earlier, the number of people without electricity was greater than 30,000.
The utility said the cause was “transmission related” and sent crews out around noon to repair the issue.
Crews in other areas of the province are working to restore power lost as a result of a blast of winter weather over the weekend.
