A low pressure system has developed a narrow band of heavy snowfall over central Saskatchewan. This band will move slowly north and spread eastward Sunday night.
This system is expected to taper off Monday afternoon; however, rapid accumulation of snow could make travel difficult for motorists.
“Definitely where it’s been snowing it will be slippery conditions and tonight as the temperature drops below zero, could see some ice forming on the roads if they’re wet so people should be cautious,” said Dan Fulton, Environment Canada meteorologist.
“It’s the beginning stages of winter.”
