Saskatchewan RCMP charge woman after 3 killed in crash

PUNNICHY, Sask. – Saskatchewan RCMP have laid charges in relation to a deadly collision that happened on the May long weekend.

On May 17, three people died after a collision between a truck and a road grader south of Punnichy, Sask.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2004 Toyota Tundra pickup truck rear-ended the grader which was travelling in the same direction.

The truck had six occupants.

Two male passengers, aged 37 and 47, were pronounced dead at the scene. A 30-year-old female passenger succumbed to her injuries while being taken to hospital.

The man operating the grader suffered minor injuries.

Stephanie Lorrin McNab, 37, from Gordon First Nation, is facing a total of 17 charges.

Her charges include: impaired operation causing death, driving while over 0.08 BAC causing death and refusing to provide a breath sample.

McNab was in provincial court Tuesday where she was released with conditions and is scheduled to appear back on Dec. 2.
