WINNIPEG – Three Manitoba corrections officers have been charged with assaulting a 24-year-old inmate at Headlingley Correctional Centre.
Supervising officer Michael Hadded, 44, and correctional officers Mark Svendsen, 40, and Michael Delorme, 31, all from Winnipeg are charged with assault causing bodily harm.

The inmate was also charged with aggravated assault in connection with the same altercation. RCMP didn’t release his name.
Charges were laid Oct. 6 and the three guards are scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
