Lethbridge Hurricanes rout Saskatoon Blades 7-2

SASKATOON – Carter Folk was the solution on special teams for the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Friday.

Folk had a goal on the power play, one short-handed and one at even strength to record a hat trick for the Hurricanes in their 7-2 rout of the Saskatoon Blades in Western Hockey League action.

Zane Jones struck twice and added an assist for Lethbridge (3-8-1) which won its second-straight game.

Jamal Watson and Kade Jensen rounded out the attack with one goal each.

Cameron Hebig and Sam McKechnie replied for the Blades (4-8-0).

Stuart Skinner recorded the win, making 33 saves for the Hurricanes while Alex Moodie kicked out 22 shots in the loss.

Lethbridge was 2 for 6 on the power play with Saskatoon being held scoreless on seven attempts.

The Blades host the Portland Winterhawks on Saturday.
