Body found in North Saskatchewan River identified

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. – A forensic autopsy on Wednesday confirmed the identity of the person found dead in the North Saskatchewan River on the Thanksgiving long weekend.

The victim has been identified as Beatrice Adam, 36, of Prince Albert.

Shortly before 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 12, officers were alerted by two kayakers who discovered human remains along the riverbank, east of the city.

Her death is not considered suspicious at this time.

Adam was reported missing on Oct. 11. She was believed to be in the company of 27-year-old Timothy Charlette, who was also reported missing the same day.

The two were known to each other.

Police say efforts to locate Charlette have been unsuccessful.

He is described as an Aboriginal male, approximately 6′ 4″, 190 lbs. He was last known to be wearing a camouflage ball cap, a dark jacket and jeans.

The coroner will be continuing assisting in the investigation with police.
