VANCOUVER – A man is dead after being hit by a car in Maple Ridge on Sunday night.
Investigators say the 52-year-old was on Lougheed Highway, near 204 Street, when he was hit.

He was crossing in an unmarked section of road, in an area that was dark, and he was wearing dark clothing. It was also raining heavily at the time.
The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police.
