ITUNA, Sask. – RCMP say a small plane made an emergency landing near a small town north of Regina.
Police say neither the male pilot nor female passenger was hurt when the plane touched down Friday afternoon near a runway just north of Ituna.
RCMP say the male pilot of the fixed-wing prop aircraft experienced a mechanical issue and decided to make an emergency landing as a precaution.

The pilot landed on the airstrip, but because it wasn’t a scheduled landing he moved the plane off to the side as soon as possible to ensure that he was not in the pathway of any other aircraft that might also be using the same airstrip.
