TORONTO – Morneau Shepell Inc. is expanding its employee assistance program presence in Quebec with the acquisition of Jacques Lamarre & Associates and Parcours d’enfant.
The Toronto-based human resources consulting company said it has purchased one of Quebec’s largest EAP providers for an undisclosed price that will be immediately accretive.

Morneau said the acquisition of Jacques Lamarre complements its existing counselling, work-life and child-focused services.
It will now serve more than 900 clients employing in excess of 1.4 million workers and their families in the province.
Jacques Lamarre’s services address health and productivity needs of workers and companies while Parcours d’enfant assists children and adolescents with their development challenges.

Morneau Shepell is the largest Canadian-based human resources consulting and outsourcing firms with about 2,500 employees across North America.
Jacques Lamarre has some 50 employees and a network of 1,500 counsellors.
