CALGARY – Firefighters are investigating the cause of a fire the community of Abbeydale on Thursday that destroyed a home.
The house was engulfed in flames when crews arrived at Aberdare Crescent N.E. around 5 p.m.
The Calgary Fire Department says two people inside the house were able to get out safely.

Several neighbouring homes were evacuated as a precaution.
Investigators say the blaze appears to have started in the garage, and then quickly spread through the home.
