Aaron James David Douglas, wanted in connection to two recent murders in Chilliwack, has been arrested in Abbotsford.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team made the announcement this evening, following a standoff between Douglas and Abbotsford police.
A Canada-wide warrant was put out for Douglas’ arrest last month.
Douglas is a suspect in the shooting deaths of 38-year-old Richard Blackmon and 36-year-old Tyler Belcourt, who died in a Chilliwack home on August 7. He’s also suspected of trying to murder another woman inside the home.

Douglas had only been released from prison two weeks before the shootings. He served 19 months in jail facing an attempted murder charge in another case, but the charge was stayed in court.
