EDMONTON –A 27-year-old Calgary woman has been arrested in connection with a deadly collision in June.

An arrest warrant was issued for Fallon Ouellette on Wednesday. RCMP believe she is responsible for a collision that killed an Edmonton couple northeast of the city on June 30.

An SUV travelling on Highway 28 near Mallaig – which is 200 kilometres northeast of Edmonton – crossed the centre line and collided with a travel trailer and minivan.

St. Paul RCMP says the minivan ended up in the ditch where it burst into flames.

Witnesses pulled a 12-year-old girl from the vehicle and she was airlifted to hospital.

The fire made it impossible for the bystanders to save the two adults who were inside the van. The 49-year-old driver and 52-year-old passenger, both from Edmonton, died on scene.
