KELOWNA — The sound of screams rang through a Kelowna home Tuesday night. Police were called to a house in the 1500 block of Leaside Avenue just after 10:30 p.m. to investigate. When officers arrived, they found a 25-year-old Kelowna man with serious but non life-threatening injuries after an apparent assault. He remains in hospital in serious condition.
Investigators believe the attack was targeted and RCMP say the victim is known to them. Police are now searching for who was responsible and haven’t confirmed if there was only one or more attackers.
There was heavy police presence at the home investigating and the residence has been cordoned off with police tape.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at (250) 762-3300 or Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 222-8477.
