SASKATOON – Three teens are facing charges after Saskatoon police nabbed them in a stolen vehicle after responding to a disturbance early Saturday morning.
Police say they were called to the 500-block of Avenue S South around 2:15 a.m. after an altercation involving several people.
Officers arriving at the scene where told a minivan was leaving. It was spotted a few minutes later and identified as being stolen.
Police were able to pull the minivan over in the 1400-block of 22nd Street West. The driver attempted to flee but was caught nearby.
Two other people in the minivan also attempted to flee but were tracked down by a canine unit.
Two youths, a 17-year-old male and a 14-year-old girl, along with an 18-year-old man have been charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000.
The 17-year-old is also facing three breach of probation charges.
Their names have not been released.
All three were scheduled to appear in Saskatoon provincial court on Monday.
