WATCH: ‘Apparently’ kid makes hilarious appearance on ‘Ellen’

Apparently, you can’t keep a viral video star – or a cute kid – out of the spotlight for long.

Five-year-old Noah Ritter became an Internet sensation when he was interviewed by a local reporter at the Wayne County Fair in Pennsylvania last month.

Microphone in hand, his use of the word “apparently” and statements like “…apparently I don’t watch the news because I’m a kid, and apparently Grandpa just gives me the remote after he watches the Powerball” made him a viral video star.

The adorable tyke made an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Thursday, and did nothing to dispel the notion that he’s got a future in front of the camera – assuming he can pass kindergarten, that is.

For starters, Ritter said he’s done with using “apparently” as his signature word.

“You don’t use ‘apparently’ anymore?” DeGeneres asked him.

“Nope. Got over it.”

But like any Internet star, he’s already workshopping his next go-to word.

“Seriously,” he replied when asked for his new favourite word. “I would have to go with ‘seriously.'”

DeGeneres then asked him how he was enjoying Kindergarten, which prompted another hilarious off-the-cuff reply.

“I think they’re holding me, I don’t know how many hours. Probably, like, 11 hours,” Ritter said.

“It’s like I was in prison for 10 days!”

DeGeneres then revealed she had a surprise for the youngster, who is an avowed fan of dinosaurs: a massive Tyrannosaurs lookalike, which came lumbering out onto the stage.

Ritter, however, wasn’t fooled.

“I’m pretty sure that’s a guy in a costume,” he remarked drably, as the audience and host laughed.

No word on what’s next for little Noah, but with his deadpan delivery, trademark catchphrases, and willingness to say whatever’s on his mind, we think there’s plenty that reporters could “seriously” learn from him.
