There’s going to be a new regional park in the Okanagan soon.
The Regional District of Central Okanagan announced it has spent five million dollars to purchase 52 acres of waterfront property between West Kelowna and Peachland.
The Goat’s Peak Regional Park will include hiking and biking trails, horseback riding, wildlife viewing and environmental education.
“It’s great to see we have preserved a large part of a natural area in West Kelowna,” says West Kelowna Mayor Doug Findlater.
The park won’t open until at least next summer.
