DARTMOUTH – A pizza delivery driver was shot early Sunday morning in Dartmouth in an apparent robbery.
Halifax Regional Police officers were called shortly before 2 a.m. to a parking lot in the 0-100 block of Jamieson Street. Officers arrived to find a man who had been shot once in the buttocks.

“He was delivering pizza and he was trying to make an honest living. It appears at this time that it was a robbery,” said Sgt. Ken Burton.
Burton said there is no indication the delivery man was lured to the location where he was shot.

The victim underwent surgery Sunday morning and is recovering. His injuries were described as non-life threatening.
