HALIFAX – A 25-year old Dartmouth man is facing confinement charges that stem from an incident on Aug. 26.
According to Halifax District RCMP, a 22-year old woman contacted them on Tuesday claiming she’d been held against her will at a home in an undisclosed location in Eastern Passage.

Police say that during her confinement she was also assaulted and property was extorted from her.

They also say the man and woman knew each other.
The unidentified man will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on Oct. 10.
