Search continues for missing Saskatchewan woman

PRINCE ALBERT, Sask. – The search for a missing Saskatchewan woman continues.

Mavis Bird, 34, was reported missing on Monday after last being seen at a gathering at a Sturgeon Lake First Nation residence on Aug. 21.

Prince Albert RCMP say one vehicle associated with her, a blue 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe, is in their possession, while a second vehicle, a white 2000 Pontiac Grand Am, is with her family.

Although originally thought to be from the Sturgeon Lake First Nation, police now say Bird is from the Little Red River First Nation.

Bird is 5’3” with brown hair and brown eyes. It is unknown what she was last wearing.

Mounties believe Bird may be in or around Prince Albert.
