Three suspicious overnight fires in Saskatoon

SASKATOON – Saskatoon firefighters were busy early Thursday morning dealing with three suspicious fires.

Crews were first called out to a garage fire just before 4 a.m. at 806 Main Street.

Smoke and flames were showing when firefighters arrived. An aggressive attack was started and the fire was brought under control in 20 minutes.

Damage is estimated at $30,000.

While firefighters were battling that blaze, crews spotted another garage fire at 822 Main Street.

Additional crews were called in and a quick exterior attack had the fire under control in 18 minutes.

Damage is estimated at $5,000.

The third suspicious fire was called in just after 5:30 a.m. at a trailer behind 633 Avenue H South.

Arriving firefighters found smoke and flame coming from a small utility trailer at the back of the building.

The fire was extinguished in 4 minutes.

Damage is estimated at $2,000.
