TORONTO – An Idaho woman is lucky to be alive after having a very close call with lightning this week.
Stephanie Rae was filming a storm when a bolt of lightning struck about one foot away.

“All of the sudden everything just lit up. It sounded like a gun went off,” Stephanie Rae told KIVI-TV News. “I thought I got hit by lightning so we just took off running.”
Rae’s daughter, who recorded the video, said both of them lost their hearing for about a minute.
