SASKATOON – Two teens are in custody after they led Saskatoon police on a chase in a stolen vehicle early Monday morning.

It started when a canine officer spotted a suspicious vehicle near 39th Street West and Avenue B North.

When the officer tried to pull the vehicle over, the driver took off leading to a short pursuit.

The chase ended when the teens fled the vehicle near the 1800-block of Avenue D North.

A canine track was started and with the help of patrol officers, the first teen, 13, was captured in the 1600-block of Avenue G North.

The second teen, 15, was captured a short time later near Airport and Circle Drives. He suffered minor injuries during his capture by the police dog.

Both boys are facing charges that include possession of stolen property and breach of court order conditions.
