Firefighters battle early morning fire along Centre Street

CALGARY – The Calgary Fire Department is trying to determine what sparked an early morning blaze along Centre Street.

Crews rushed to a home in the 4300 block of Centre A Street N.E. around 3 a.m.

When they arrived, firefighters found light smoke coming from the rear of the home.

They used high volume fans to pressurize the home as they battled the fire, and were able to contain it to the attic.

Everyone inside the home was able to get out safely, and no one was injured.
