City streets flooded after hail storm hits Calgary

CALGARY- As people living north of Calgary spent Friday cleaning up the damage caused by a series of storms, the city itself got pounded by a hail storm.

The severe weather hit around 3:30 p.m., and saw heavy rain and hail hit communities across the city. The amount of hail that fell in some areas made it look more like winter than the middle of August.

Areas around the city such as Okotoks and Chestermere were also hit.
