Loraas Environmental Services will introduce the City of North Battleford to single stream recycling starting Thursday.
There will be no garbage bags and no need to sort recycling, except for glass and compost materials.
Materials that can be placed in the recycling bin include: Cardboard, newspaper, junk mail, office paper, household plastic containers (1 through 7) and bottles, plastic grocery bags, juice cartons, tetra-pak containers, milk jugs and cartons, tin cans, plastic soft drink and water bottles, aluminum soft drink and beer cans, empty cereal and detergent boxes, paper towel and tissue cores, gift and packing paper, paper bags, envelopes.

Recycling drop-off depots in North Battleford

Household recyclable pick-up
- Loraas Environmental Services is offering curb-side pickup every two weeks at the cost of $8 per month. A 95 gallon cart is supplied to customers.
Apartment and commercial single stream recycling is underway.
Saskatoon City Council is still debating a mandatory recycling program.
