Bones found in South Calgary backyard

CALGARY – The medical examiner is working to determine if some bones found in South Calgary over the weekend are human.

They were found on Saturday in the 1800 block of 31st Avenue S.W.

Police say a homeowner was digging holes for fenceposts in their backyard when they made the discovery.

“They were putting back some of the dirt from the boards they had just put in, and they found some bones,” says neighbour Rebecca Van Sant.
