KELOWNA – Blown tires on a private plane caused flight delays at the Kelowna airport Friday morning.
The plane blocked the runway just before 11 a.m. forcing incoming flights to be diverted to other airports.

Some departing flights were also affected.
One tire blew under each wing, meaning the plane couldn’t easily be towed off the runway.
It took about 90 minutes for the Cessna Citation jet to be removed and normal airport operations to resume.
