TORONTO — Actor Robert Pattinson said he considered moving to Toronto after selling his Los Angeles mansion.
The Twilight star told Esquire UK that he might have relocated to Canada’s largest city but “the winters are ridiculous.”
Pattinson knows what he’s talking about. He lived in Toronto this past winter while filming Life, in which he plays photojournalist Dennis Stock.
Pattinson also lived in the city in the summer of 2011 to make Cosmpolis and last year to play a small role in Maps to the Stars.

For the latter two, the British actor worked for homegrown director David Cronenberg.
“The sweetest guy in the world,” Pattinson said of the filmmaker. “Like a really kind university lecturer.”
In the Esquire UK interview, Pattinson addressed the cheating that led him to split from his Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart.

“S*** happens, you know?” he said. “It’s just young people. It’s normal! And honestly, who gives a s***?”
Pattinson also told the magazine he turned down offers to appear in big movie franchises.
“With those things, if you express any interest, you have to do a screen test or whatever, and they make you sign a six-picture deal before you even know what the part is,” he said. “It’s crazy. And I didn’t grow up reading comic books and stuff, so…”
